About Our Facility

Clinical Investigations of Texas is located in Plano, Texas (Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex), approximately 22 miles from DFW International Airport. CIT is fully equipped with multiple large exam rooms, ECG machine, centrifuge, double locked medication room, Xray capabilities nearby and refrigerator/freezer. We also have a spacious waiting room and a monitor room with convenient wireless internet access and telephone.

Our Staff

Dr. Melanie Christina

Melanie O. Christina, M.D. is the Principal Investigator at Clinical Investigations of Texas. She is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She received her medical degree from Tulane University in 1990. At Tulane, she was a selected for membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. After medical school, she completed her residency at UT Southwestern Medical School. In November 2004, she was named “Best MD” by D Magazine. Dr. Christina has been the lead investigator with CIT since 2007 and is committed to innovative, ethical and progressive research.

Theresa Mueller

CIT’s Sub-Investigator/Research Coordinator is Theresa Mueller, MSN, RN, BC, ANP/GNP. Ms. Mueller is board certified as both an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. In 1988, she graduated with honors from UT El Paso with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. After working at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas for many years, she attended UT Arlington where she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 1996. In her role as an advanced practice nurse, she has worked with a variety of patients including those with diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure problems and arthritis as well as many other medical conditions. Ms. Mueller is committed to ensuring the highest quality medical and ethical standards in the research process and looks forward to working with you at CIT.

Idolina Garcia

Idolina Garcia, LVN, CCRC, has been conducting research studies since 2003. She received her certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2006, from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She has an excellent reputation among her peers and the sponsors for providing distinguished quality data and ensuring patient safety. She has coordinated trials on diabetes (types 1 and 2), obesity, diabetic neuropathy, hypertension, asthma, COPD, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic lower back pain, constipation, gout, and cardiovascular disease. She is committed to providing the best patient care and collecting the data that is essential for the FDA to determine the safety and efficacy of the drugs under investigation.

Katia Soleil

CIT’s Research Assistant, Katia Soleil has been with the organization since 2011. Katia has prior experience in research as well. While living in France, she worked for 4 years in various capacities of the clinical trial process. Her duties at CIT include administrative tasks, office management, scheduling of patients, regulatory management and patient liaison. Katia’s commitment to details and accuracy as well as her compassion towards our patients make her a valuable part of the CIT team.
